Summary

The first Greathouses came to America in 1710. They played a prominent part in the history of Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Arkansas. Seven Greathouses served in the Revolutionary War. The first members of the family to come to Arkansas settled in Pulaski County about 1815. The author traces the genealogy of the family in America for 244 years and relates many interesting incidents ranging from Indian warfare to Civil War happenings in Washington County. 88 pages.
