1773, Aug 3 - Land Warrant: William Krothause, 10 Acres, Plainfield

By the Proprietaries.
Pennsylvania, ff. Whereas William Krothause of the County of Northampton hath requested that we would allow him to take up Ten Acres of Land

Bounded on Ulrick House's land including two Springs in Plainfield Township in the Said County...

[Provided the fame Land does not lie or interfere with our Manor of Fermor or any other of our Manors or appropriated Tracts] for which he agrees to pay to our Use the yearly Quit-rent of One Shilling Sterling to us, our Heirs and Assigns for ever. These are there to authorize and require you to furvey, or cause to be furveyed, unto the faid William Krothause at the Place aforesaid, according to the Method of Townships appointed, the faid Quantity of Ten Acres, if no already furveyed or appropriated, and make Return thereof into the Secretary's Office, in order for Confirmation; for which this fhall be your fufficient Warrant: Witness, Richard Penn, Esq., Lieutenant Governor and Commiffioner of Property of the faid province, by virtue of certain powers from faid Proprietaries, hath hereunto fet his Hand, and caused the Seal of the Land Office, to be hereunto affixed at Philadelphia, this 3d Day of Augt. One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy three.

4) If William Greathouse of Plainfield was age between 21-23 when he obtained this land warrant in 1773, then he would have been born between 1750 and 1752.
